Three questions the intake desk hears often

Short answers, with the full process described on the services page.

Acceptance is confirmed within one working day of arrival. From there, ancestry analysis usually takes ten to fifteen working days, wellness screening eight to twelve, and carrier panels twelve to twenty. If a control lane fails, the laboratory repeats the assay and tells you before the original estimate slips.

Only with that person giving informed consent in writing, or with a lawful authority that the laboratory can verify. Carrier panels are not offered for children, and requests of that kind are referred back to the ordering clinician.

The sample is held for a defined retention period so that a repeat assay is possible, then destroyed under the laboratory disposal procedure. You can ask for earlier destruction in writing. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
